Research Group Meeting November 2017

Marianne, Anne, Kari, Yuko, Tone, Yvonne, Andrea and met at Bjørnefjorden in Os, to talk about research and education for sustainability. When working together it is important to meet each other! And we have spent an entire day talking, laughing and inventing!

We discussed applications for funding,  our goals for doing our research, what terms we want to use in our work and what this means at kindergarten level. One important topic was the term eco-citizen and the competences needed in sustainability, such as problem solving, creativity, action, critical thinking, believing in the future and a sustainable life and being and becoming agents of change.

Ida introduced us to innovation in education in a fantastic presentation:

We later used our newly acquired knowledge to talk about what this can be in kindergarten,  when including education for sustainability.
