The project is a collaboration between the English section at the Faculty of Education, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (Høgskulen på Vestlandet) – Campus Bergen, the Centre for New Media at the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences and the English section at the University College of Southeast Norway.
Monika Bader
Monika is the project leader. She works as an Associate Professor at the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (campus Bergen). She has been involved in teaching the relevant courses, developing course materials and assessing student performance for a number of years. She has also been involved in research both in the context of primary education and in the context of higher education courses. Her research interests include issues related to linguistics, language learning and teaching.
Sarah Hoem Iversen
Sarah is an Associate Professor in English Language and Literature at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL, Bergen campus). She has been involved in teaching the relevant undergraduate courses (Grunnskolelærerutdanning), developing course materials and assessing student performance for a number of years. She has also been involved in research both in the context of primary education and in the context of higher education courses. Her research interests include English language teaching and learning, digital tools in education, and non-fiction for children.
Zoltan Varga
Zoltan is an Associate Professor in English Literature at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (Bergen). He has been involved in teaching and developing the relevant undergraduate courses. He has also been involved in research related to GLU 5-10 courses. His research interests include: modernist fiction, intermedialities, intercultural competence, critical literacy, literature in the EFL classroom, digital tools in education, and assessment.
Tony Burner
Tony is a Professor of English at the University College of Southeast Norway. He has been involved in teaching and developing GLU 5-10 courses. His research interests are classroom assessment, formative interventions, diversity/multilingualism and teacher mentoring. Tony wrote his PhD on formative assessment of writing in English as a foreign language, with a focus on middle school students.
