Call for Posters – Methodology in Mythology
Posters are a good way for especially (but not limited to) early career researchers to present and discuss their work in less formal situations.
Especially when it comes to the methodological viewpoints and constructions, serious but informal discussions among colleagues often result in unexpected advancements and improvements in the methodological approaches of both discussants.
We therefore invite poster submissions from everyone wishing to take the opportunity to present their work to an audience of experts. Each poster will be orally presented shortly (ca. 5 min) and exhibited in the conference locale.
The posters can present, for example, planned or ongoing PhD projects, ideas for new research projects, preliminary research results, or other similar research interests. Participation is therefore not limited to a certain affiliation. The only requirement is that the poster should be related to the general theme of the conference: methodological questions and new approaches in the study of Old Norse mythology.
The poster submission deadline is 30th September. All posters will be reviewed by the organisers by mid-October. Submissions are not expected to be ready for print by that time, but the general idea as well as the connection to the theme of the conference should be well explicated. If required, please attach a short clarifying text of no more than 300 words to the submission email. Please send your poster submission as a .pdf file to Konsta Kaikkonen: konsta.kaikkonen@uib.no.
Unfortunately we will not be able to cover any expenses, so those accepted to the poster session will have to take care of printing their own posters as well as pay for their own transportation and hotel (remember to use our discount code). Registration is a requirement for presenters.
For further questions, please contact Konsta Kaikkonen
